"Princess" Bean

Bean has found a new home! Congrats to Deborah for a job well done. We will miss our "beanie baby" dearly!
Lenny
Lenny has been ADOPTED!!
Lenny was our first foster and his previous owners turned him in because they could no longer care for him. Lenny is FULL of personality, and is generous with friendly headbobs (this is his way of saying "hello"). What a sweetheart this guy is. So much so he was adopted by one of our volunteers!! He has so much personality and is so much fun we coudn't bear to part with him! After being shipped around from home to home he now has his lifetime basking spot and we are thrilled to have him!
Cosmo
Cosmo has been ADOPTED!!
Cosmo has a very interesting story to tell. This once wild child was tamed and adopted by a 77 year old grandma! Yes, thats right...the very same iguana that gave NCIRA's Deborah stiches is now being hand feed by his new 'mom'!! Goes to show you what a lot of TLC and patience can do! Way to goooo Granny!!!!!!!!
Jasper
Jasper was dropped off at Karla's (Triangle Iguana Rescue
member) in a small pet carrier with two other adult iguanas.
All three were malnourished and covered in feces with
various other ailments.
Jasper's biggest problem was that he was very malnourished.
He was transferred to the care of NCIRA member Deborah
for further rehab and eventually adoption.
After being treated for several different types of parasites,
his appetite picked up and this sweetheart of a iguana
was adopted by Rebecca
in Winston-Salem. As you can see, this was a very successful
adoption. Rebecca is just what Jasper has been missing
his whole life...a loving mother who showers him with
attention. After all, don't they all deserve that?
